Camp Caribou News

Caribouinians, WHAT'S UP, we hope all is well and your enjoying this fall season. We have been real busy lately with enrollment and re-enrollment for the summer of 2011. By the way this summers slogan is "Slice of Heaven in 2011", so pumped, we are only 238 days away from camp!!!

Anyway, Bill is currently in Connecticut meeting up with some new campers and having a great trip. Rotman is coming down to New York November 13th and 14th and plans to meet up with Vaamonde, Godnick, Mick Bronksy, Jack Bronksy, and Sam Cox, and if anyone else wants to meet up let us know, maybe we can get some pick up ball going.

This coming Sunday Bill, Rotman, and Jerry will be heading over to Wayland High School to get Brian Sugar and Ian Reilly JACKED UP for their big football game against Billerica, MA. If they win they're going to the playoffs, LETS TEAR IT UP GUYS. If any other Caribou guys have upcoming sporting events, let us know and we will try to make it.

In other camper news, Gabe Pinkus is playing loads of guitar and gearing up for his new basketball season. Eli Pinkus is competing in the Catskill lacrosse Pumpkin Shootout, Get after it Eli. Matt Shevrin just finished JV volleyball at Schreiber High School where he was awarded MVP of his most recent volleyball tournament. Great job Matt. Caribou Nation let us know what you're up to, and we will get you up in the blog.

Just a reminder, the Reunion is real soon, November 7th at the Natick, MA Fun & Games 11am, let us know if you can make it. Keep in touch everyone.

Philly Reunion

Caribou Nation what up, we hope all is well and your enjoying the fall season. We are coming off an awesome weekend down in Philly. Bill, Bobby, Lori, and Rotman made the trek down from Boston for the weekends first event, which was Josh Liss's Bar Mitzvah. There were loads of Caribou guys and gals that basically took over the place. A big what up to Jack Long, Henry Foreman, Gabe Schmittlien, Micah, Chase, Eli Pinkus, Jay Maxwell, and the four of us. It didnt stop there, as Liss had his party at Distrito, a sick Mexican restaurant in downtown Philly. There we ripped up the dance floor and had amazing food. Josh did an amazing job and we are very proud him. WAY TO GO JOSH.

Our Philly tour was obviously not done yet, as we had the Philly reunion on Sunday at the Arthur Ashe Tennis Center. It was an awesome turnout, the Kastenbaums, Holdsmans, Ben Seltzer, Jon and Josh Cohen, Wheeler, Josh Liss, Josh Rosenfeld, Henry and Joe Wolfson, and Craig Markman. Oh with special guests Levin Ep and Anthony. We played tennis, got some football going, had Philly Cheese steaks, unveiled 2010 Yearbook, watched the DVD video yearbook (which is the best yet), and handed out Reunion T-Shirts. Slogan for this summer, Slice of Heaven in 2011.

Overall, it was a great weekend, saw loads of Caribou guys, and had a blast. Next stop: Boston Reunion November 7th. See you guys out there, and keep in touch.

All the Best and Lots of Hugs

DC / New York

Caribou Nation what up, Rotman and Billy L. just had an awesome trip down to New York and DC visiting loads of potential new campers and catching up with current Caribou guys. On Sunday we were in the big city, met some awesome families, played a bunch of basketball, of course Billy was droppin three's all over the place, and I broke out the glove and tossed the baseball around. That night we caught up with Dave Altarescu at the Tribeca Tavern.

From there, Caribou was on the go, kicking the tires and lighting the fires. On Monday we met ten families, talked Caribou, tossed the football, and got a couple of pick up games going. It was a blast, and met some great people. That night we caught up with the legend, Levin Ep, he is doing real well in DC.

On Tuesday, we were able to catch up with Caleb Friedman, who is real busy with school and competing in all sorts of soccer tournaments. Bill and I even got a chance to see Alex Ranck and Adam Abrams rip up the soccer fields for the McLean School. Yo, if you guys have any upcoming sporting events, let us know, and we would love to come and cheer you on.

Then on Wednesday we saw Connor and Jeremy Wolfe. Connor is playing lax for Scarsdale High and for a town travel team. Jeremy is busy with school and playing lax as well. We even got a chance to see the myth Adam Fischer who is currently looking to travel all through out South America.

Overall it was a great trip, saw some Caribou Legends, new caribou guys, and cheered on Ranck and Abrams. This weekend, Lori, Bobby, Bill, and Rotman are headed down for Josh Liss's Bar Mtizvah and of course the Philly Reunion on Sunday. Give us a call anytime, we love hearing from you, BOU-YAH.
